@NeymanDmitry

Description

@NeymanDmitry

JabRef version

Latest development branch build (please note build date below)

Operating system

GNU / Linux

Details on version and operating system

Ubuntu 24.04.4

Checked with the latest development build (copy version output from About dialog)

  • I made a backup of my libraries before testing the latest development version.
  • I have tested the latest development version and the problem persists

Steps to reproduce the behaviour

First, install the latest development build for linux-amd64 (jabref_6.0.deb). After installation, try to start the program by typing /opt/jabref/bin/JabRef --debug. It will show a message like this:

WARNING: Using incubator modules: jdk.incubator.vector
2026-05-31 13:54:21 [main] org.jabref.Launcher.main()
INFO: Starting JabRef v6.0-alpha.107--2026-05-29--566019a
Setting all preferences to default values.
2026-05-31 13:54:33 [JavaFX Application Thread] ai.djl.pytorch.jni.LibUtils.downloadPyTorch()
INFO: Downloading https://publish.djl.ai/pytorch/2.7.1/cpu/linux-x86_64/native/lib/libc10.so.gz

It always tries to download libc10.so.gz. The last working version I used was:

JabRef 6.0-alpha.22--2026-05-17--acda945
Linux 6.17.0-29-generic amd64
Java 25.0.3
JavaFX 26.0.1+0
