Detailed Reproduction Path
Hello,
I am running 22 Beta1 and after several days of use the LED lights starts to flicker.
I am not sure if this has any relationship to the closed issue #1468 but I am able to recreate this at will on my system at the moment and have collected some logs to, I hope, prove this has nothing to do with my LED Strips :)
I am not sure what is triggering the issue since it starts after a few days however the culprit seem to be the Smoothing Algorithm: Infinite Interpolator If I change it to any other algorithm the flickering stops. Selecting again Infinite Interpolator restart the issue immediately (if I reload my Rpi however the issue is gone for days)
I have not reloaded my RPI for now so I can collect any additional logs you might need.
It is also interesting to note that if the image is paused the flickering will slowly stop but then re-start the moment the image changes again.
I can see the behaviour also if I send the data to a file by enabling the "debug" instance that logs to file.
You can see the pattern for a static image are rapidly changing but then they gradually become less erratic and then all the lines are identical. I am not sure if there is a good way to decode the file but perhaps you can ? Also not sure what is the best way to link the file with what is displayed on screen.
For example in this file I am displaying the Kodi UI and I move between menus. This trigger flickering.

While the flickering is happening you will see that the output of the file keeps changing but then it eventually it stop.

If you look at pattern in line 7149 and do a "find" you can see that the pattern itself is changing and unstable even if the image itself is not changing on screen but eventually it "settles" as the flickering stops.
Let me know if this is enough to proof if the issue is not the LED Strip.
I pasted the applications logs but I don't see anything glaring, not sure if the "High resolution clock is NOT STEADY!" means much.

Hello,
I am running 22 Beta1 and after several days of use the LED lights starts to flicker.
I am not sure if this has any relationship to the closed issue #1468 but I am able to recreate this at will on my system at the moment and have collected some logs to, I hope, prove this has nothing to do with my LED Strips :)
I am not sure what is triggering the issue since it starts after a few days however the culprit seem to be the Smoothing Algorithm: Infinite Interpolator If I change it to any other algorithm the flickering stops. Selecting again Infinite Interpolator restart the issue immediately (if I reload my Rpi however the issue is gone for days)
I have not reloaded my RPI for now so I can collect any additional logs you might need.
It is also interesting to note that if the image is paused the flickering will slowly stop but then re-start the moment the image changes again.
I can see the behaviour also if I send the data to a file by enabling the "debug" instance that logs to file.
You can see the pattern for a static image are rapidly changing but then they gradually become less erratic and then all the lines are identical. I am not sure if there is a good way to decode the file but perhaps you can ? Also not sure what is the best way to link the file with what is displayed on screen.
For example in this file I am displaying the Kodi UI and I move between menus. This trigger flickering.

While the flickering is happening you will see that the output of the file keeps changing but then it eventually it stop.

If you look at pattern in line 7149 and do a "find" you can see that the pattern itself is changing and unstable even if the image itself is not changing on screen but eventually it "settles" as the flickering stops.
Let me know if this is enough to proof if the issue is not the LED Strip.
I pasted the applications logs but I don't see anything glaring, not sure if the "High resolution clock is NOT STEADY!" means much.
