Hi, My Vaultwarden self hosted install as a docker container works really good for almost a year. 1 thing I cannot get to work: Icons. The diagnostics page of the Vaultwarden admin webui shows: I assume that is the problem. This command shows that the container can reach internet: here are all the diagnostics: Your environment (Generated via diagnostics page)

First, your reverse proxy is modifying some headers, which it shouldn't. Sometimes restarting Docker services might help, then the Firewall config is reset/reconfigured. |

Solved — Root cause was ICON_BLACKLIST_REGEX= (empty string) in my env vars. An empty value is treated differently from an unset value: it compiles as a regex matching every input, blocking all icon fetches before any DNS/HTTP code runs. Removing the line entirely (instead of setting to empty) restored normal operation. Icons now fetch and cache correctly. Possibly worth a documentation note that this variable should be omitted entirely if not used, not set to empty. |
