Topic, m2 has latest firmware (3.15) i exposed this in home assistant integration.
I'm using snmp v1 and snmp-ups driver.
So my battery went bad few days ago, and performing battery test on m2 resulted in "aborted" status and the battery charge drops to 0%
But in HA it becomes "scheduled" instead of failed or something like that..
So i have 2 questions :

1. I'm trying to figure out if its actually possible to do periodic battery test so that i can replace battery before an outage happens. Is it possibile via NUT by changing drivers / snmp to do this or does it depend on which network card i have?
2. Why is it only exposed as "scheduled" and "unavailable" in HA integration?

Regarding HA integration, please ask HA support venues :)

Regarding NUT specifically, one question is which version do you have running there (in the HA container for NUT) as the support evolved over time, and another is which MIB do you have assigned there (or guessed/detected by the driver)?

Also, I believe the "true" internal state of the device is picked up and represented by different software modules in its firmware after conversions to different data models, so there is a non-zero chance that what it shows through Web, LCD, SNMP, USB etc. are with different precision and/or not fully overlapping.

I would defer to someone like @arnaudquette-eaton who might be more "in the know" about this.

So i just tested again in the proxmox host with the latest version 2.8.5, and i haven't set MIB at all..
Ran battery test with network card m2 and i got this result

What MIB should i use?
Another possiblity is m2 is EOL, replaced by m3
but i find it strange since the latest firmware is released in 2024

So after replacing the batteries (turns out it was corrosion on one of them)
I'm finnaly getting

ups.test.result: "Done and passed"

But after another outage it says "scheduled" again, i'd assume this is because the battery isn't full yet so the ups refuses to do self test.

So this is making automation difficult because there's no battery fail status, and scheduled could be mistaken for postponed battery test.
Also something i forgot to mention that's worth mentioning,
when the bad batteries were installed and i ran battery test on NMC2, it says "abort" instead, but it doesn't say scheduled
edit : here's the mib used : it's snmp-ups, should i change it to something else?
